Barbara Rogers Murdered Her Boyfriend Due to Involvement With Online Reptilian Cult
Barbara Rogers and her boyfriend Steven Mineo were devoted followers of Sherry Shriner, an online peddler of reptilian conspiracy theories. The couple’s dedication to these beliefs eventually ended in Steven’s death by gunshot wound at the hands of Barbara.
Who is Sherry Shriner?
Sherry J. Shriner was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1965. She went to Kent State University, where in 1970, during a protest against the Vietnam War, the National Guard shot and killed four students. Sherry graduated in 1990 with a degree in Journalism, Political Science, and Criminal Justice. She became a self-made conspiracy pundit.
Later on, Shriner started believing in a conspiracy theory called the New World Order. This theory suggested that important people, like Queen Elizabeth II and Barack Obama, were actually shapeshifting lizards controlled by alien overlords. These aliens supposedly wanted to take over the world and had put these leaders in charge to establish a "one-world government."
Using platforms like YouTube and Facebook, Shriner reached a large audience with her strange ideas. Besides creating numerous self-published e-books and YouTube videos, she, who called herself the "Servant, Prophet, Ambassador, Daughter, and Messenger of the Most High God," also launched over 10 websites, such as TheWatcherFiles.Com and OrgoneBlaster.Com. These sites attracted thousands of followers who believed in her unorthodox theories.
Kelly Pingilley Suicide
One of the people who believed in Sherry J. Shriner was Kelly Pingilley. When Pingilley was 19, Shriner convinced her not to go to college because she thought the world was ending soon. Instead, Pingilley started working for Shriner as a transcriber for her radio show called "Aliens in the News." Shriner told Pingilley that the only true God was "Yahuah," and Pingilley regularly went to New York to protest against the New World Order.
Sadly, on December 28, 2012, Pingilley was found dead from taking too many sleeping pills. She was wearing an orgone pendant, a substance Shriner claimed could protect against clones and "synthetic robotoids." After Pingilley's death, Shriner sold copies of the pendant online.
Sherry Shriner claimed Pingilley was killed by a "NATO death squad" for believing in Yahuah. She told her followers to be watchful and keep fighting against world domination.
The Death of Steven Mineo
Steven Mineo and Barbara Rogers were once happy followers of Sherry Shriner online. However, things took a bad turn when Rogers posted a simple Facebook message about liking raw meat, and Shriner started calling her inhuman. Shriner claimed that people who like raw meat have a "vampire demon" in them. Mineo, no longer trusting Shriner, made five videos between May 29 and July 1, 2017, to expose her. Shriner and her followers kicked out the couple and continued to call Rogers a "Vampire Witch Reptilian Super Soldier."
On July 15, 2017, Mineo and Rogers went to a local bar and drank until 2 a.m. before going back to his apartment. They went outside to shoot his gun in the woods, and when they returned inside, Mineo asked Rogers to shoot him in the head. The police were called at 2:25 a.m., finding a gun near Mineo's body with a hole in his forehead. Rogers claimed Mineo forced her to shoot him but gave conflicting statements. She rejected a plea deal for third-degree murder, which could have meant 10 to 15 years in prison.
At the same time, Shriner spread online rumors, saying Rogers had "morphed her huge teeth out" and revealed her inhuman form before killing Mineo. Shriner also claimed Mineo disliked her because she had warned him about Rogers, and he didn't believe she would harm him.
Sentencing of Barbara Rogers
When Mineo died, Sherry Shriner reacted similarly to how she did when Pingilley passed away years earlier. She encouraged her followers to donate money, selling orgone for as much as $288 and starting GoFundMe campaigns. She continued to make a profit until she died of natural causes a few months after Mineo's death.
Rogers went to trial in March 2019 and was found guilty of third-degree murder on June 10. She was given a sentence of 15 to 40 years in prison.
